Last night I was reading the first Harry Potter book to my 5-year old, Fang. Our conversation went like this:
Me: (reading) "Dumbledore told Professor MacGonagall how Voldemort killed Harry Potter's parents and then tried to kill Harry but wasn't able to do it, and somehow was defeated.
Fang: Daddy! Maybe Harry Potter knows Kung Fu!
