This demonstrates very nicely how good a Republican-controlled congress is at building up massive market bubbles, and how good a Democrat-controlled congress is at bringing the market back to reality.

No, I think cnick's point is just as valid as mine based on that single picture. I think he's mostly wrong, of course, :) but that doesn't invalidate his conclusion or its basis.
I agree! You can pretty much draw whatever conclusion you want from pictures like that.
