As Good As Exit Polls: The Minivan Index

I was driving one of the kids to a birthday party today when I stopped behind a minivan that was festooned with bumper stickers. It had two of those ribbon bumper stickers with "support the troops" on them, a 4th of July sticker and a couple more in that same theme.

But front and center was a big one with an American flag on it proclaiming "Celebration Day 1/20 2009."

Here's someone who (based on the patriotic symbols on the car) you would think would be a fairly solid Republican voter, but they clearly can't wait for Dubya to be out of the White House. One thing the pundits were not wrong about is how badly the GOP's 'brand' is damaged.
