The Hot Air article pretty much says it all:
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
... but I just wanted to share it around. Almost makes me want to get fitted for a Wookiee suit.

At first when I read the title of the article on Fox I was OUTRAGED - as in ready to make a trip to DC to set things right -- but then after reading the piece - the Christmas tree growers were the ones who suggested the tax and wanted the tax in order to raise money for a fund that would help them make more money. While I never agree with 99% of any new taxes, this one, well, it sort of seemed to be okay.
Glad to see that the islam-in-chief nixed it though. Very surprised to see that happen.
Doesn't matter who suggested it - it matters who okayed it. These people are totoally out of touch with America.
