What Is Wrong With These People?

I know I'm just one in a long line of folks who read this thing and did a mental spit-take (I found it via NRO's The Corner), but holy shit, do these lefties even listen to themselves, or re-read what they've typed?

We don't know how much Kennedy was affected by her death, or what she'd have thought about arguably being a catalyst for the most successful Senate career in history. What we don't know, as always, could fill a Metrodome.

Still, ignorance doesn't preclude a right to wonder. So it doesn't automatically make someone (aka, me) a Limbaugh-loving, aerial-wolf-hunting NRA troll for asking what Mary Jo Kopechne would have had to say about Ted's death, and what she'd have thought of the life and career that are being (rightfully) heralded.

Who knows -- maybe she'd feel it was worth it.

Now, I'm a cold-hearted S.O.B., but that closing line is simply unbelievable; it's all sorts of rude, inflammatory, and crass. But something (the memory of a true victim) was getting in between a lefty and her ideals, so the claws came out. Decorum in this case would've been safer slathering itself with A-1 sauce and punching a werewolf in the snoot.

What's wrong with those people? They're fucking insane, is all.

I heard that on Rush today, & stopped in my tracks to try to absorb what he had just said- HUH?

Mike Savage (I think) said that liberalism is a mental disease, & I believe it. There is no other explanation for the obfuscation of the obvious...

It's not unsurprising that a liberal would think like that. Remember, they love mankind, but hate people. Kopechne was 28 when she died. She literally had most of her life ahead of her. I'd be more interested in what she would have done with the years Kennedy stole from her. Husband, children, by now grand children. Maybe a career helping other people. A life that she could have lived and enjoyed. Not to mention the grief her parents, family, and friends suffered by her death. How many other lives were changed, likely for the worse? We'll never know the answer to any of those questions because of callous irresponsibility on the part of one self absorbed politician.
