45 ACP Vs The EuroCombine

I was sitting in the public library in Thurman St skimming through "Rogue Herrys" by Hugh Walpole when I suddenly came over all curious.

Curious you ask?

Yes. Inquisitive.

Atom Smasher and I were bemoaning the lack of a Steyr semi-auto pistol in .45. Atom has an M9 and I shot Marko's at the recent NE Bloggershoot.

Trying out the M9 was something I'd wanted to do for a long time and I was very pleased that the M9 was everything I'd hoped. Terrific sights, comfy grip angle, and an excellent trigger - especially for a service pistol.

If they'd make the same platform for a .45, we'd both be very happy. But it seems to me that unless the European gunmakers are chasing the US military and police markets, you don't see too many pistols from the Old Country in .45. The Euros seem to favor .380, 9mm and .40.

Am I right about this? Are there a lot of European semi-autos chambered in .45 that I've just missed? Im sure CZ makes a couple, now that I think about it....

I'm sorry. I can't concentrate on your comment, that accursed bazouki player is shredding my last god-damned nerve.

Ah, Heaven forbid! I thought you were one who delighted in all manifestations of the terpsichorean Muse.
