They were zeroed at 200 meters and so at 25, 50 or 100 yards they shoot high. The solution is to get a taller front sight and file it down (if necessary) so it shoots to point of aim at one's chosen distance with one's chosen ammo.

http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127600MeatAxehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03477536538497998805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817503750343460336.post-11358025398014544072009-09-11T20:56:40.317-05:002009-09-11T20:56:40.317-05:00Ahh, but Mauser is wunderbar rifle! :)Ahh, but Mauser is wunderbar rifle! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817503750343460336.post-47095314846257700942009-09-11T08:37:53.696-05:002009-09-11T08:37:53.696-05:00Not to split hairs but Garand and Nagant is also r...Not to split hairs but Garand and Nagant is also rifle :)

And they favor the middle of the target, more or less, subtracting for user error.

As we know, I'm a noob, but I thought the rifle should shoot to point of aim at 25 yards, and that elevation for the sight would be necessary when shooting at distances like 200 meters or more....MeatAxehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03477536538497998805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817503750343460336.post-33892232573850831992009-09-10T23:35:19.652-05:002009-09-10T23:35:19.652-05:00It is rifle. That's still zeroing for 100 meters, which is what? 110yrds? At 25yrds you are gonna be shooting a bit high, not much you can do if you want to zero closer except modify the front sighr.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
